Carl Mentesana, DDS, MS
Dr. Mentesana is a Texas native, born in Dallas. After graduating from Jesuit College Preparatory School, he attended Baylor University where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He graduated from Baylor with honors, recognized as one of Baylor’s top twenty seniors. Dr. Mentesana returned to Dallas where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry. He then completed a 3-year residency in Periodontics, where he specialized in implant procedures, gum grafting and the treatment of periodontal (gum) disease. He is certified to provide IV conscious sedation by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners and is trained in advanced cardiac life support. He is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Southwest Society of Periodontics, American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association and the Dallas County Dental Society. Dr. Mentesana is passionate about dentistry and his patients. Each patient is treated as family, receiving individualized attention. He enjoys creating a comfortable and informative dental environment. In his free time, Dr. Mentesana enjoys wakeboarding, surfing and spending time with his wife and their three children (Vince, Pierce & Henry).
Brandon Baker, DDS, MD
Dr. Brandon Baker was born and raised in Bedford, Texas. Upon graduating from Euless Trinity High School, he attended Baylor University prior to starting dental school at the Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. He then completed a six-year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, where he also earned his medical degree. After completing residency, Dr. Baker and his wife, Karlee, were eager to return home to Texas.
In residency, Dr. Baker trained in complex facial trauma, head and neck cancer, corrective jaw surgery, tooth extractions, implant placement, cosmetic surgery, and anesthesia. Today, his practice focuses on dentoalveolar procedures such as wisdom tooth removal, implant placement, bone grafting, pathology, and IV sedation. What truly sets him apart, though, is his bedside manner: he takes the time to get to know each patient, building a relationship that helps him understand what matters most to them. This, in turn, allows him to tailor a treatment plan around their individual desires, concerns, and comfort.
Dr. Baker and Karlee live in Richardson, where he takes great joy in being part of the same community he serves. He and his wife have two children, Henry and Chloe, and outside of work they enjoy cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, trying new restaurants, and staying active together.
